Outside

When Kate is inconsolable we usually head outside. Usually the fresh air or the motion of the glider on the deck or the rope swing will do the trick. Here, Grandpa relaxes during a particularly long session on the swing.

Jackson was a little nervous to go outside for the first week or so we were here. He is, after all, a city kid and not used to the grass and bugs and stuff. It only took his cousins' arrival to show him what fun there was to be had in the backyard. So here is a picture as proof of his new-found freedom. Now he runs around barefoot and was even spotted helping catch fireflies last night!
